The ABHS.ePortfolio
An organized record that compiles the evidence and documents tracking the trainee's clinical performance, the achievements they have attained, and the reflections through which they drew lessons and insights, throughout their training journey.
This portfolio links learning activities and assessment tools on one hand with the competencies required to be mastered on the other, thereby demonstrating the trainee's progressive growth across defined levels of progression — from performance under direct supervision toward increasing levels of entrustment, whereby the trainee is granted greater responsibility to perform entrustable professional activities with progressively less supervision.
It also serves a dual function: a formative tool that guides and directs the learning process, and a summative record relied upon to inform entrustment decisions and judge the trainee's readiness for independent professional practice.
